Pain clinic three weeks on

I finally was able to to attend my appointment with the pain clinic to review my left side pain and it’s longer term management

The upshot was I had to try pregabeline again as I wa put in it when I experienced no pain so we wanted to see if it would work agin. Plus I was prescribed some pain killing patches for my left foot which is the centre of my pain issues from the morning of the stroke until now it was always my left foot.
The results are as follows

  1. the patches did nothing bar hurt when removed.

  2. the pregabaline did reduce the over sensitivity and helped my sleep noticeably but although reduced my pain levels are no where near nearer the time straight after the stroke

I will feedback to pain. Clinic I 5 weeks and see where we go from there.

I hope you manage to get things under control and they find a solution that helps ease / get rid of your pain.

Thanks Mrs5K

I will keep everyone updated.

Fingers crossed crossed

A brief update on day to day pain levels, the pregabelineis now bedded into my system and I look for to each dosage point as it mutes the symptoms of my neurological pain but does not last all day. I’m not happy to up the medication to a larger dose yet but it maybe the next course of action.

Fingers crossed you don’t need to up the dose but if it helps then may be worth a try.

A cancellation and a new late December appointment isn’t
