Hi @Patricia80 and welcome, sorry that you have had to join us here as you have had the same as most of us here. But I’m sure you will fine everyone supportive and helpful as well as kind, considerate and knowledgeable too.
I’ve had one right sided ischemic stroke with a few setback, so know about feeling low and down at time, best advice I could offer is to talk/ write on here, rest when you need and recover as best you can.
Welcome to the community. We are very friendly and hardly ever bite. Feel free to ask any questions - there is usually someone who can help. Or if you need somewhere to scream and rant - we’ve all been there.
Hope you are keeping cool and drinking lots of water. It is currently 26deg in my house so I may have to go to the supermarket and hang around in the freezer section.
Hi @Patricia80 and welcome to the community. Sorry to hear that you have now had 4 mini strokes since Easter. That is a lot for you to cope with so no wonder you are feeling a little down. This is quite a normal feeling after a stroke
of any description but in time you will find a way to be your normal positive self.
Hopefully now that they have found a clot they will be able to treat it appropriately. Have they offered you any treatment or advice for the small vessel disease? I assume there will be some follow ups? But maybe I shouldn’t assume
as the NHS these days is a bit stretched and things get missed.
We are a fairly upbeat bunch on the forum and if you have any questions or queries then please ask away. Someone is usually around to answer them.
I think I am now going to go and join @JanetB in the freezer aisle as it is very warm here too.
Hi @Patricia80

There are always words of encouragement on here so I hope you’ll find this community helpful but it’s also understandable that you’re feeling a little down.

Often in life, it is the big events we focus on, the prominent achievements, the promise of big rewards, but after stroke, keeping that cup half full can often come down to all the infinitesimal things we may have previously overlooked. I found that life became a microcosm and the dreams and ambitions of the wider world just sort of faded into the background.
