New mobility scooter & realising brains limits

Well done for persevering with your scooter.
I too have bought a secondhand scooter to see if it can give me independent life in and around my home.
I have successfully managed to get to our local Spar with my wife acting as a chaperone for my first pavement experience.
I got there avoiding dog mess and some bad pavement ruts and holes
I’m still pursuing full blown walking but this allows me to go places my current recovery is not delivering

Stil focused on recovery and what ever it takes.

Well done on your first scooter excursion. Now you’ve experienced it hopefully it’ll open up more adventures for you.

Happy scootering.

Thanks Mrs5k I will get out a lot more in the summer and am already planning trips to Fiuntains Abbey and other such locations.
It’s something that has been closed to me while I’m recovering and the scooter means I’m back doing it again.

That sounds perfect. It really does make a big difference. Or it has for me at least.

Yes it is a game changer and gives me more inclusive living, dog walking trips to the shop or pharmacy. Some national trust places and any holidays will be more inclusive than ever.
