I don’t know for sure but it is probably related to your tennis elbow. I know i get a lot of cracking in my frozen shoulder. I tell myself it is my shoulder trying to sort itself out.

Joints do crack from time to time. You may need to just take it easy with your elbow until your tennis elbow starts to improve.

Afterwards I could grab my stick without it hurting.
I have tried rubbing it with voltarol but the voltarol seems to rub into my leg more

It could be that your elbow cracking was it freeing itself a bit. It’ll take a while but will get there. Just enjoy the pain free moments when you get them.

Seemed to be doing more than the exercises or voltarol.
How are you doing Anne.
What job do you do by the way

That’s little something to celebrate
It sounds very much like a good thing John. Remember back when I said about my cracking/clicking and my toes uncurled. You’re just experiencing similar in your arm as a result of muscles relaxing due the rest and Voltarol, so keep it up as it is actually doing something for you :slightly_smiling_face: It may build back up again over the course of days/weeks again, so it’s best to keep good maintenance on it  Some people pay a lot of money to osteopaths or private physio to achieve the same result you have. You’ve done well, keep it up :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Lorraine

I am a civil servant. I lead a small team who look after stores & vehicles. It’s extremely busy but I enjoy it. I work part time now as my stroke doesn’t allow me to do full-time. Fatigue is an issue for me.

I echo what Lorraine has said about your arm, too.

It may be the position you sleep in or hold your arm in when you sleep.

You are bound to get aches & pains. It is a case of finding a balance between exercise & rest. It’s ok for things to ache a bit when you’re exercising or just after but if it is painful you need to stop and not push it. Muscle tendeness often suggests that you are strengthening things. That’s why when people first start a new exercise regime they often find it hurts and they ache afterwards. It’s important to build up gradually and not do too much too soon.

When things are recovering from trauma or illness you can get good and bad periods. Id you have over exercised it might be painful the next day. That’s where you need to find a balance & it can take a while to work it out.

I don’t know if it would help but when my knee is painful I often put a memory foam pillow under it in bed. It helps ease the pain and next morning it is often much better.

I am doing ok thanks. Fatigue is bad at minute so going to have an easy weekend.

When I sleep I am facing the wall so rest my arm by my side.
Eventually during the day the elbow pain isn’t too bad.
After my squats my shoulder hurts at the top but goes during day when I’m walking with my stick.
I am thinking of going for a walk but shorter distance to start with see how my elbow and arm is.
When I put my splint on in the morning I notice a gap along the right side of my knee so I can tell it’s lost muscle loss since wearing splint all day.

Going for a walk sounds like a good idea. Just build up gradually. I started by using houses as a gauge of improvements. Started walking to number 1, then 2 etc & built up to number 12. Hope it goes well for you.

It’s going to rain so can’t do that.
What I have done is knee bends while laid on bed then 1 leg stands with my arm on chair.
Then leaning on the wall to stretch the back of my foot to see if I can still put my splint on and I can so I can do both now exercises and wear my splint.
I noticed that when I bent my knee my foot doesn’t turn as much as it used to.
Problem I have is when I’m in bed and rub or scratch my good knee my arm lifts up

Shame rain stopped you trying a walk. It has been nice here today although I think we are expecting rain later & tomorrow.

Sounds like you’re doing lots of exercising anyway.
