We discovered that Lee can actually feel touch on his affected side, 2 years 11 months on!
He is so shocked and can’t believe he can feel something where he has felt absolutely nothing since it happened.
With very limited speech, the word he used to describe the sensation was "strange " but that’s a win on both fronts.
A great victory, which unfolds in stages : The sensation will be rough and almost painful at first - perhaps just ticklish, but as it refines it will become more sophisticated. Touch will become a warmer more welcoming touch with a more precise sense of location of the exact whereabouts
