My Ride and the quest to find magic woods cafe

Hi Folks i dont drive anymore but do have a form of transport.
Last week i ventured out on the Pennine Trail on a quest to find the Magic Woods Cafe.
I found it hidden away in the woods and it serves the many hikers and tourists that travel the Pennine trail.I popped to see my wife on return journey.

Hi @Gravel that looks like a really good trail to go on, I have just returned to cycling first time in over 30 years and getting to love it. Pictures look amazing too.

As long as the weather holds out for you, I am very close to cycle paths that take me to Glasgow to Edinburgh or our only National Park as well as a few other areas sadly the weather has been so poor. Also the midges nothing picks up the pace than a swarm of them charging at you.

Bit of trivia for you jbob, I own land in Scotland. I bought a patch of land where new trees will be planted, Also gives me the title of Lord haha.

What a small world, Magic cafe was one of our favourite places to walk to before my husband had his stroke. We live about 10 mins walk to the trail but sadly can’t get on it easily now with a wheelchair (lots of hills!). Was that Penistone church you went to?

Yes was visiting the wife.
I often travel down through the tunnel to Thurgoland on trips. Finding the cafe was my first long trip the other direction. It by Hazlehead isnt it. Long way at 4mph on a trike

Sorry @Gravel I have been snowed under at work and with a sick father as well as other things, the area itself is spectacularly beautiful when we get sun- no often up here though. As the crow flies around 45 minutes but due to our road structure 2-3 hours depending on roadworks and landslides.

In fact my cycling has been curtailed as its been raining for days and the temprature is barely double digits in the frozen north.
