Hello wonderful folks!
Come and see what I get up to most days. I’m working on a complete reset of my walking gait, and this is how I do it. The slower I take it, the harder it gets !

This is very impressive Roland.
I love the way you are able to walk backwards, and on an uneven ground as well!
The heel to toe exercise your Chinese doctor recommends is highly recommended for the elderly.
Great video - thanks for sharing.
I’ve started doing suriashi as part of my routine, similar technique. When you said you were doing a video on mud walking, I actually thought you were going to walk through mud
. You are doing very well with these exercises.
This looks good for someone like me with gait ataxia. I like that it’s slow and you put all your weight on each foot. I couldn’t do the exercise on grass barefoot as my circulation is hopeless
Very impressive. Thanks for sharing.
I do it barefoot on grass ; I also have slow circulation. … and … I also can’t do it !!
Once in a blue moon I manage it !! Most times I keel over off balance.
Very interesting, thank you for sharing. Not sure I could do that, I have drop foot on my affected side (left) but very interesting all the same.

@pando Thanks for posting this its really helpful and I am going to use it to help with my ankle, calf and foot strengthening.
hooray ; let me know how you get on ; I find it very hard
I’m very poor at it ; plus it has taken me over 3 years to get to this stage…
What helps with drop foot ? I have done countless calf stretches and still battle with contracture. I never had severe foot drop, but it threatened often
These routines don’t have to be done on the ground, ankle dorsiflexion can be done sitting or lying down and I imagine mud stepping could be practiced with feet on a bed head or lying down with feet on a wall. There will still be core strength involved.
