Message for Wendy from Debra (Ward 21, January 2025)

Hello,

I’m looking for a lovely lady called Wendy whom I met while I was a patient on Ward 21 at Preston Hospital between 13 January and 24 January 2025. Our beds were next to each other, and we spent time chatting during our stay.

During my last week in hospital, I had surgery on an artery and was moved to Ward 15, and later transferred to Chorley Hospital, so I never got the chance to say goodbye.

I just wanted Wendy to know that I’ve been thinking of her and hope she is doing well. If this message reaches her, I would be delighted to hear how she is getting on.

I really hope she sees your message. I became close to the family of the lady opposite me in hospital. They came outside of visiting hours, I think because of work commitments, and they would always check in with me, chat to me etc. It was exactly what I needed as I felt desperately lonely in hospital. I’d love to be able to thank them and see how their mum is but like you I was whisked away to another ward and never got to thank them for their kindness.
