We conduct checks on these before promoting but are not involved in their running. This means we cannot comment on trials and have no affiliation with them.

We would like to interview stroke survivors and carers from across the United Kingdom about the information they need, use and would like, and how a patient-friendly portal could help them.
Participants will be asked to complete a consent form and an interview with a researcher. The interview will take place at a time and place convenient to the participant, either face to face or via Microsoft Teams. Interviews will last up to 1 hour and be recorded.
Involvement in this research will be kept strictly confidential, and participants will not be identified or able to be identified in any ensuing reports or publications.
What is the opportunity about?
This study explores the information needed by stroke survivors, carers, clinicians, researchers, healthcare managers and policy makers to help improve stroke care.
Findings from this study will help direct the design and contents of a patient-friendly portal. This is a secure, web-based application that allow stroke survivors and carers to access up to date information about the stroke survivor’s health and care as well as contribute information on the stroke survivor’s health and care.
What will it Involve?
Participants will be asked to take part in a 1 hour interview at a time and date convenient to them. Prior to interview participants will be required to complete a consent form.
Who can take part?
We invite all stroke survivors and carers of stroke survivors from across the United Kingdom to take part in the study.
What will you get from taking part?
Participants will be contributing to future research which aims to use data better to improve care. Participants will contribute directly to the design and development of a patient portal.
We will also share outcomes of the project, including journal articles, with participants.
