Mad dogs and English men clear driveways in the noon day sun

I’m another afternoon nearer clearing my block paving, one arm and a wheelchair I move up and down the driveway removing the soil and weeds that has built up between the blocks over the last 26 years.

I’m insane but keep going until I win and it’s restored to it’s former glory.

Excellent Mark. Slowly but surely you’ll get there & what an achievement that will be.

Thanks Mrs5k, it’s become an obsession to get it cleaned and prepared for winter, my wife helps with the sweep up into the green waste bin but I extract it and drag my large body up and down the driveway

Thanks Sue it’s like the stroke recovery I’m very determined. And will not give up until I reach a satisfactory level of recovery

Firstly well done you.
I have done the same thing albeit not from a wheelchair but on hands and knees.
Far easier, which I discovered a year or two down the line is to use a pressure washer which not only removes the weeds and dirt but cleans the paving slabs to almost new condition

best wishes

Tony

I just had to look up the origins of this phrase which I hear so often …

Now, I never knew that and I suspect, not a lot of people do.

Thanks Mark and well done
