Hi all, my old life insurance ran out and i have been turned down for a new one. I’m 66 and stroke 2 and half years ago . Can walk drive look after myself.
Does anyone know a company that insures folks with previous stroke ?

Hi Julie, it seems to be something that is extremely difficult to get hold of after a stroke. I have heard of many people not being able to find a life insurance provider after their stroke.
Have you maybe thought about contacting an insurance broker who can usually search the whole market for you?

@Mrs5K thank you for your message, yes I have gone via a broker and I’ve had to take a policy with no medical. Expensive and not as much cover as I wanted to ensure hubby is ok.

Glad you have found something albeit not quite what you want. They get you every which way these insurance companies.

Can I ask which insurer you went with? I am only 40 so did not have life insurance in my financial priorities until 8 weeks ago 
I have been declined twice now by different companies but want it for my own peace of mind for my daughter

They were very helpful and you can talk to an advisor on the phone which I like.
They got me insurance with OneFamily
As mentioned it’s an expensive policy but I just want peace of mind for my husband.
My old life insurance I had for many years but it ran out when I was 65 unfortunately
