Learning a new word every day

Afternoon all! :grin:

I have been thinking of ways to improve executive function and found out that learning a new word every day can help.

This appealed to me as I was very articulate before my stroke, so I have signed up to ‘Word of The Day’ at dictionary.com

The rule I have given myself is that that I have to read the word - and its definition - out loud. :blush:

@Gaina

I use an invaluable tool:

https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english-thesaurus

when writing, it can give you the word that’s on the tip of your tongue or suggest all sorts of stimulating and inspiring possibilities.

Well worth a dig and a delve in that treasury.

No, yesterday’s word was Obi - a broad silk scarf tied round the waist of a Kimono.

Today’s word hasn’t reached my mailbox yet. :blush:
