@mrfrederickson , well at least you can treat this like a project. Still neater than my lawn.

Yes Johnny very much my approach 2years in and a long way to go! The problem as with all new houses twenty years ago the builders didn’t clean their mess up fro around the house so under the lawns back and front they will have left all manner of brick rubble and cement pugs the dips in the lawn at the back are vey tricky to navigate on my left weakness side. The cost of correctly clearing and turfing. Back and front are many thousands of pounds and will never be recouped in any future sale . So I will tinker around the edges and maintain and care for the lawn until it is too much for me to do then I’ll pay someone else to help with it’s upkeep

@mrfrederickson , be careful of rogue traders. There were quite a few in my area over the summer. Use Check-a-trade website before you hire someone. Always ignore doorstep callers. I’m sure you know all this but, best be safe than sorry. As for builders, don’t get me started about them. Many are not very good at “cleaning up”. I’d hate to think what some of them are like at home. :slightly_smiling_face::grimacing:
