That looks a great day out @mrfrederickson , getting packed for work just now in miserable murky drizzle. Would rather be there than here, Jack looks a happy chap and very well cared for too,

Looks lovely there & great that you took the opportunity to get out & about whilst weather was still good..

It’s raining here although after the long dry summer I won’t complain too much.

Do you have canals anywhere nearby?

The Canals and Rivers Trust organise guided walks of an hour or two. It is an excellent day out to walk a canal bank with a guide. Free too. The Trust organises these things all over the country. You can contact them and book online. I attended using my scooter.

I’ve put up these links in case you’re interested.

Yes Bobbie we have the Burnley canal but I’m a bit water phobic so concentrating on exploring the 500 acre medieval deer Park I live close to

Most areas are accessible by the path infrastructure and my scooter has full suspension and 6?inch ground clearance so can get to most parts including the hall garden centre and coffee shop

I understand what you mean about water phobia. I have felt quite insecure on occasions on my little scooter. Some footpaths next to the road get very narrow and tilt quite dramatically on occasions. The thought of losing my scooter into a canal or onto a road with speeding traffic is quite worrying.

I have ridden down tow paths that are set back from the waters edge at a comfortable distance and footpaths that are quite secure. It would be a shame not to take advantage of a chance to be out and about.

There’s a town centre near here that is pedestrian only which is a great place to be in the middle of it all.

I keep thinking about museums and art galleries as another possible subject for exploration but that is a possible plan for the future and likely better for when weather and climate are not so kind.

Happy trails, Mark.
