Universal Credit will be conducting interviews with claimants or soon to be claimants between Monday 26th June and Friday 21st of July to understand their needs around sharing information with the service.
With this study, we would like to explore topics such as:
- Types of information you currently share with UC,
- How you share this information,
- How information sharing could be improved.
The interviews will be
- 30-60 minutes depending on your availability.
- Usually held during work hours (9am – 5pm).
- Conducted remotely, via Microsoft Teams or face-to-face at a location that you prefer.
- Possible face to face locations: your Job Centre, a café near your Job Centre or near your home.
As a thank you for your time, we’d like to offer a £40 worth of Love2Shop vouchers for a 60 min interview.

How we protect our participants’ rights
- The participation in this study is voluntary and will not impact your Universal claim in any way.
- You can leave the conversations at any time without giving a reason.
- We will take notes. We may audio record the session only if you give us permission to do so.
- The notes and recording will only be used by the researcher for analysis purposes.
- The findings will be confidential and anonymised meaning no one will know you have given us this feedback.
