Improved gut health and overall well-being - 30 plants a week tracker

Gut health has been in the news in recent weeks, months and possibly years.
A healthy gut is linked to a healthy brain.

Whether you are a stroke survivor or a non-stroke survivor you will benefit from having a healthy gut.

One way to do this is to eat 30 or more plants a week. Note this does not mean you have to be a vegetarian or vegan, but it does mean you have to eat 30 or more plants a week.

There is lot’s of information on the internut, but I include below a link from the BBC website for starters.

I am hoping that you will join me in a sort of game to track the plant intake

The idea is you include in your post ONE plant you have eaten in the last seven days AND which has not already been mentioned by another member in their previous posts.

It is not my intention to cause brain fog or fatigue, but if it does it might be good as no pain is no gain and so getting a bit of brain fog or fatigue may make you stronger (the phrase goes if it does not kill you it will make you stronger or something along those lines).

Now, we all know rules are meant to be broken and certainly on this forum this is a given and since I am possibly the only one who is looking to benefit from this game i.e. I am trying to see if I can get 30 or more plants in my diet in a week, I will monitor the posts to pick out the plants that I need to include.

I will start this off by my first plant and that is
AVOCADO - I eat this as a fruit, in guacamole and I make chapatti dough using the avocado flesh as the [healthy] fat.
Plant 1 - AVOCADO

Nice - a few on your list that I haven’t had but do eat them often enough e.g. Kiwi and yes kidney beans and coffee beans count.

It’s not as hard as we might think.

Take care.
