I have moved to a bungalow as stairs have not been easy and as I head to an older phase of my life I need a flat surface to walk on.
S today I have walked out of my front door and down the driveway. The pavement. Something that the previous property would not allow as it was too steep
It doesn’t seem much but it is the beginning of my return to a normal walking ability.
Congratulations on moving to your new home. We moved to a bungalow after my stroke 7 years ago. We’ve been here for 3 years now and I can honestly say it’s the best thing we ever did.
Hopefully this is the start of new things for you with your walking .
I had my stroke in November and am still housebound, waiting for medical needs to be acknowledged as I live in a terraced house, with steep steps leading up.
The physio has stopped seeing me because I cannot get outside because of the steps so I can’t wait to walk out in the sun!
The problem with the previous location was I was unable to walk down a very steep driv even the car struggles so we spotted ou new home in February near to where my son works and with access to buses a chemists and Spar shop it seemed to be the most sensible next step to aid my recovery and my old age inn the future.
Oh I like them Have you given them names yet?
I’ve still got an empty fish tank in my living room waiting for some new residents to move in, if I can ever decide what I want
Who moves in is going to have to be easy to care for
