If you need assistance outside these hours, don’t worry, there are 24-hour services available.
Out of hours contact
- Samaritans provide confidential, emotional support, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Talk to them any time you like, in your own way and off the record, about whatever’s getting to you. Call the Samaritans on 116 123, or email jo@samaritans.org.
- For anyone in Northern Ireland who is experiencing any kind of distress of despair, the Lifeline helpline service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on 0808 808 8000.

If you suspect someone is having a stroke, always use the FAST test and dial 999 immediately.
