I’d like to introduce myself.
My name’s Nicola Miller. I am responsible for overseeing the Stroke Association’s online support offers for people affected by stroke. This includes Online Activities and the Online Community (previously the My Stroke Guide forum).
We are aware that as the online community moderation team, we have not been as visible or engaged with the community as you and we would like which I am sure has been frustrating for some. I would like to apologise for this and thank you for your patience.
I would also like to reassure all our community members that albeit, in the background. Since my appointment in January, we have been exploring ways to develop our community engagement so that we have a safe, supportive, and vibrant community for all. This work has been in response to feedback, research, and collating forum data.
We will start to apply what we have learnt, and throughout July post a series of updates to advise you of any changes that will affect your experience on the forum.
