Has anyone sued the NHS?

Hi just wondered if anyone has sued the NHS. I was diagnosed with a migraine. Ive never had a migraine and im 58.
The next day I had a stroke at home.

Any help gratefully received, thank you.

I’ve not but just wanted to say if you decide to pursue this then look on the Law Society website under ‘find a solicitor’ as you’ll need someone who specialises in ‘accident and injury’.

I have never done it but it is extremely difficult and as @pamelai1 says you need someone who specialises in medical negligence. I think you have to prove that the outcome would have been different if they’d treated you earlier / differently. A high bar to meet.

Nothing to lose by speaking with someone to get some advice though. Be prepared for a long & difficult fight.

I have not had to use this personally but try patientclaimline.com which deals with NH Compensation Claims.
