I just spent 2 weeks in Scotland and it was freezing. I was never so happy to come back to England. Although on my way back to work this morning, it was extremely cold, which aggravates my osteoarthritis. At least now I will know when its Mon, Tues etc as the past two weeks were lost because of the holidays. Happy New Year to all

Happy new year. It sure was horrid going into work thia morning. It was -7 here and the snow had frozen. Made a lovely skating rink.

Hi @IreneFC could be worse you could have to live here, but it has been cold enough for us to consider both wearing a coat out and putting on the heating these last few weeks.
Bet at around Carlisle you suddenly began to feel a wee bit warmer.

Happy New Year 
As Im snuggled up in my nice warm bed, at 7am my daughter sends me a little video of her feet crunching in the frozen snow, as she heads for the bus to work 
Meanwhile I was starting to swelter 
But yes, my osteoarthritis is not enjoying the cold at all.

I am aiming to be the 10% for 2026. That’s the figure on Google who make full recovery from Stroke. I may not make it but I am going to give it a go. I wish you well for 2026.

A good laugh is just what we need on days like this. I’m supposed to be my aphasia group this morning, but with this snow and ice, I just won’t risk it. So I think I’ll also pass on skipping outside in my birthday suit ‘cos I’m likely to break my neck. And then I won’t be feeling so free and I’ll have Denise the Menace to blame for putting such ideas in my head
