Ahh even hotter then with a cold, hate summer colds, drink plenty, rest up
Is this you @susan jane
not as a man with a hairy chest though lol
@Sue1958, thank you. He’s been ready for discharge for the last 3 months.
Oh! That’s u usual they kick people out usually for beds
Sorting out email accounts on a new computer, at least it was cooler indoors.
It’s evening now I’m sat right next to an open window net blowing I’m cooling at last! I believe it’s suposses to get cooler this coming week?
@Sue1958
I wish! It’s almost as if they have him captive to save the small community hospital from closing. There are only 2 wards open out of 5. One is the psychiatric ward, which is popular (!) And Ken’s ward, which is half empty. There are no clinical procedures now so it’s mainly geriatric, hospice, dementia, and Ken.
He’s sick of them, and they are sick of him so it can be a bit fraught at times, but until there are carers available he’s stuck there.
That must be awful for both of you Helen. They shut all the things that are desperately needed, maybe they have to make up patient numbers enough to remain open? I think psychiatric wards are very often full psychotic dementia Alzheimer’s all on the increase and very rarely are there beds. I hope it works out for the best soon, sounds like the word “ discharge” should be changed to when he’s “released” let us know how it goes, I bet he’s pulling his hair out.
@Sue1958
Thank you.
This is just one of a long list of disasters, delays and excuses.
For instance he hasn’t had a shower for 6 months and won’t be getting one as the harness for the hoist is single use and they are too expensive to provide!
Today we took it higher up the chain to request a meeting with the snr resources manager, and the operations manager from the council.
Try the Quality care commission we’ve had to use these several times
