@JohnnyBoy81 - I wonder if this lady is trying to curry favour with the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
This might be a picture from Royal Ascot ladies day and I believe cucumber sandwiches were a favourite of the late queen.

The lengths some peoples will go to

We have all had many wonderful people in our lives that have helped us along the way. Teachers are often not APPRECIATED as much as they should be, I think.

Sometimes in life we almost need to be HELPED by others. There are lots of ways to offer help.

Happy MEMORIES are great to have and we should all make as many of them as we can.

Everyone wants to be HAPPY, and it makes us happy when we can see that others are happy, whether it be a human being or an animal.

@ManjiB , aye, that’s true. I wouldn’t last 5 minutes at posh dos like that. Then again, I’m not a royalist.

@axnr911 , I think it depends on the teacher. My mate (in Spain) is a teacher for little kids. Nice lady. :slightly_smiling_face:

I wonder if your mate (the one in Spain) uses the phrase “The rain in Spain, falls mostly on the plain”. I suspect she might

Here’s a bit of trivia for ye …

A Swedish lady, singing “Y Viva España”.
“Y Viva España”, which was originally written by Belgian composers and first recorded in Dutch by Sylvia Vrethammer.

Now, I do remember watching this on Tap of the Paps in 1974

Last year (2025) she celebrated her 80th birthday with a concert.
You can watch it on YouTube

It’s just the Stones or Macca still going strong in their later years.

Amazing!!

@ManjiB , he used to. :spain: He tried to do it in a rubbish Spanish accent. He did it to wind her up. To be fair, he and the kids are bi-lingual. The kids speak Spanish with a slight Mancunian accent. PS, the kids are happy Spain won the World Cup. :slightly_smiling_face:

People who enjoy life and are grateful for what they have are very often HAPPY people.

When we are GRATEFUL for what someone else has done for us, it makes us feel all warm inside. And when we are GRATEFUL the other party is happy too.

@axnr911 , you’re right. It’s a nice feeling to have. :grinning_face:

Children love to have a PARTY for their birthday.

Adults don’t mind a party either.

They sure do! But children aren’t the only ones who like to celebrate a BIRTHDAY. Older people and even animals like to celebrate.

@axnr911 , the last picture… look like they are celebrating in Ibiza. :raising_hands:

Two of the most contemplative times of the DAY is when dawn in breaking or when the sun is going down.
