I went on a gondola in Venice. I am glad I did it but I wouldn’t do it again. Far too close to the water for me.

The doum palm tree is a very unusual palm tree as it’s trunk forks. Native to much of kenya and the sahel it bears an edible fruit that are distributed by the elephant which eat the fruit and so pooh the seed!

Lucy is an early australopithecine afarensisand is dated to about 3.2 million years ago. The skeleton was found in Ethiopia and named after the Beatles song which was a hit at the time. Lucy was bipedal but not of the homo genus, her brain wasn’t big enough.
