Thank you! I’m very lucky to be here! 18 months now since my first stroke and yesterday I walked my most number of steps since August 2024.

Winter is over. How about posting a Spring Photo here?

Share what you see as this season begins . . .

Spring has definitely sprung. I shall have to get outside & take some sunny pics…

Sir, will this do ye?

Let’s see now.

Who expected to see this type of spring? Now be honest please

  • I expected this type of spring (honestly, I did)
  • I did KNOT expect that!
  • I certainly did NOT expect a KNOT to come into this poll!

Spring has most definitely sprung. A beautifully sunny day yesterday. Makes everything seem brighter.

A photo I took with my phone and a photo of a portrait I drew with a biro.

Portrait is not a self-portrait though there is a family likeness.

Hey @Bobbi - I wonder if you would kindly show me how to create a montage of photos. You did one recently where you had of “thumbnail” type photos in one message which blew up when you clicked on them.

Thanks in anticipation.

Tvg.

As per the guidelines for this thread, I like what I see and I like to share what I see, so here is something I see and which I wish to share …

I wonder if this reminds you of anyone?
I think this is a very characteristic face and one I enjoyed drawing

stuff to boggle brainz with

fill code space with images they will auto sort themselves
using square brackets code looks like this:

[grid]
copy and paste image1 here
copy and paste image2 here
copy and paste image3 here
etc etc

Let’s see what’s growing in the [wild] garden today …

Thank you @Bobbi

Anyone know what the plant in the pot is?
I have no idea what it is and would dearly love to know.
This is what is left from what was one of several larger plants, but they get attacked by aphids, greenfly etc. and end up getting destroyed.

Thank you to the garden expert in anticipation

If anyone fancies spotting and naming the various plants/flowers, please do. Alas, there is no prize on offer

@ManjiB

The only ones I am sure of is the nettles and dandelions, they’ll move in anywhere and everywhere given half a chance.

Well done on organising your pictures, a very nice, even if wild display.

I shouldn’t rubbish nettles, a traditional green vegetable which will also make a number of beverages as will dandelion.

Thanks Bobbi - I just followed your instructions and Hey Presto!!

Yes, I love the dandelions and Nettles. I let the garden grow wild and got into “foraging”.
I make nettle tea using fresh nettles in the summer and dried leaves in the winter spring. I harvest and dry them - you will already know they are a powerhouse of nutrients. I sometimes use the fresh leaves as substitute for spinach. Dandelions in salad including the flowers - lovely :face_savoring_food:

I don’t know what the blue flowers are, but there is a rosemary bush in there and an apple tree that has come into blossom. Last year, a local scurry of squirrels ate ALL the apples and ruined a few more that they could not be bothered to eat as they fell to the floor whilst they were eating them

I did record them on video but not sure if I will work out how to post it on here.

I also had a cat that came into the garden with an injured paw and it healed itself using the rosemary - don’t ask my how it did it, but it did. It would come round, sit under the bush, lick it or eat the leaves or whatever and after a few days it was healed and we never saw it again !!!

Mother nature is a wonderful things
