After 10 months of not being able to drive, I finally received my license back today, much to everyone relief, it has been a frustrating and stressful period, all for a seizure I never had, I have promised myself that if some episode occurs in the future, I won’t be telling the DVLA unless it’s really serious, or I pass out at the wheel etc, the driving ban was 2am more stressful than having the stroke IMO!

Agreed! The DVLA don’t give a hoot how long they take to get your license back. They’re so unhelpful on the telephone too. I wish I had never voluntarily surrendered my license

Great news that you recievd your license back. It tiook me over 4 months although I sent the request off a day after you were allowed to (3 months before expiry). So stressful!
