@Rups @wolfie @mrfrederickson @Sue1958 , I’m very surprised by that. I heard some had a stroke of some kind but, I didn’t know it was these people. I wonder who else? ![]()
@ManjiB , that’s true. Scotland do have a lot of fine singers. So does Ireland. Daniel O’Donnell, Gary Moore (RIP) and Christy Moore to name a few.
And Kirk Douglas recovered to live on until 103 i believe
It goes to show, I call it survivor mentality.
Susan Boyle had a stroke in 2022, I think. It impacted her speech and ability to sing.
Eamonn Holmes had a stroke on Tuesday. He has already been struggling with mobility so I hope this doesn’t further impact him
@Bigmugoftea , aye, very sad. Glad to hear he’ll have some sort of recovery.
Sandra Lee - Dr Pimple Popper has announced she had an ischemic stroke last year
@Bigmugoftea , really, I didn’t know that. A shame it happens to a lovely woman.
I don’t think anyone has mentioned Harry Secombe yet, the BBC made a television special about his rehabilitation called The Trouble with Harry, I haven’t seen it but would like to.
Joni Mitchell, Lucinda Williams…
@Rups , oh, I didn’t know about the programme. I must look out for it. I liked Harry when he was in the Goons show. Really funny.
