I’m not a stroke survivor but I do find this. I always find things much brighter outdoors and in the natural light.

Speaking as a non-stroke survivor I have not thought about it before but have definitely noticed this and so for example when I am reading a book or a newspaper, I do need to sit near a window where there is more light or I need a bright lamp otherwise I do find it dark.

That’s speaking as a non-stroke survivor.

I have had my eyes tested and whilst I need prescription glasses the optician has never flagged any concerns and nor have I mentioned the difficulty of reading indoors - maybe next time I get my eyes tested I should bring this up.

One question does come to mind - when or how long have you noticed this?
Also, have you checked the medicines to see if any of those might affect vision?

Noticed in last few weeks.

Nay, but I am sensitive to light changes however. Are you saying that everything appears dark under bright light indoors but outside in natural light, everything appears light?

Yes daylight is fine

Hmmm, sounds like a good discussion with the optometrist or ophthalmology about what you are experiencing could be the way to go. If you feel there has been an acute change in how you are registering artificial light as opposed to how it was before you noticed the change.

I have exactly the same problem (minor stroke in Feb). Tought first that it was due to the poor light in hospitals, but it is me.

Also require bigger font sizes and scaling to read on mobile & pc.

Waiting for GP to call about this but im not sure what can be done.
