Eye stroke (branch retinal eye occlusion)

I was recently diagnosed with branch retinal eye oclussion that left with with a little sight loss in one eye. I advised the DVLA and they confirmed I was still ok to drive. Do I need to let my car insurance company know about this condition?
Thanks
Juan

@Juan hi & welcome to the community. You might want to give your insurance company a call. Although, when i told mine about my stroke they weren’t interested as DVLA said I can drive. This does vary by insurance company though.

Hope you’re doing ok after your eye stroke.

Hi Juan.

Happened to me too ; then 2 years later I had a near fatal stroke. They didn’t class my Eye stroke as a TIA but as a mini-stroke. Do you have high blood pressure?
good luck, pando

Yes, i have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Did your eye sight improve at all over time?

Yes, over time the nerve heals / strengthens ; but it takes time !
I’d take lots of Liposomal Vitamin C
good luck, R
