I am so scared I have a esa telephone assessment tomorrow. I have a friend sitting with me . I went back to work and did 3 hours in wash up near the end I couldn’t stop shaking my blood pressure went up big time luckily there are nurses at work. But I’m worried it’s going to happen tomorrow
xx
I can only imagine this must be quite a stressful time for you.
I can’t remember exactly, but I recall you were looking to get back to work and this was pushed back as you were not ready i.e. your doctor signed you off for longer?
From what you say, you made it back to work and now you are due to be assessed for ESA. It’s good you have your friend to support you and I am thinking you will have the report from work to support your claim i.e. the incident when your BP shot up at work and you were seen by the nurse?
All I can say right now is try not to worry - easier said than done I know as these claims and the people you have to deal with are not always pleasant or sympathetic but hopefully the person you speak with will be understanding of your situation.
I wish you all the best, but please do not stress yourself as this will not help your already difficult situation as you recover from the stroke.
Wishing you all the best and do talk to your friend.
Get yourself relaxed before the phone call.
Get yourself a nice cup of tea of coffee before the call and have a glass of water handy.
I wish you a pleasant conversation and a successful assessment.
I understand why you find it scary, @love, especially as it’s a phone call - much harder to engage with the assessor and get your points over. It’s good that you have a friend to help you, I’d also advise that you make notes about everything you want to say in advance and cross them off as you go. That way you make sure you don’t miss any important details. Also, remember that if things don’t go your way you can appeal, so refusal isn’t the end of the matter
Good luck with the assessment and let us know how it goes.
Thank you Manjib you have been very helpful. I will try and relax, hopefully it will go well, fingers crossed ![]()
Thank you Harimanjaro, all I want is a little help , so fingers crossed it will go well. And I will write notes as you said it will be helpful.
@love I hope it went well.
Just a update. The esa went really well the man was very understanding and very nice, he knew what I was going through has he had one a couple of years ago.
so just got to wait now.
Good to hear all went well. Hope you don’t have a long wait to hear the outcome.
