I hope I’m putting this in the right section. 
I prefer Dark Mode on all my my apps and I’ve had a look at the post titled ‘Dark Mode Returns!’ but I still can’t make head nor tail of how to actually do it.
I’m using an android phone and Firefox browser but I can’t see the side bar shown in the example. 
All help gratefully received!
I too have android and if I find anything before someone else posts an answer I’ll add what I find here.

I just said ‘hey google’ ‘how to turn on dark mode’ to my phone and was presented with a button to switch it on.
I also asked ‘what is dark mode’ and was presented with lots of info.
Your voice command function may work slightly differently but the end result will be the same.

To get dark mode on this stroke forum. If you tap the hamburger top right
At the bottom of the menu that pops up, go to the bottom and you find “Light mode”.
Just tap that and select Dark mode

No Bobbi, you didn’t get anything wrong, you just gave another option. Which I haven’t actually explored because I don’t really care for Dark mode anyway. It gives me a sense of being closed in, slightly claustrophobic, like trying to work in the dark

Thanks Bobbi, I turned Google Assistant off when I was in hospital as it was picking up all the sounds of the ward and running my battery down.
You think that’s bad. My wife issues a command to her phone and mine answers.
I gotta be honest, I hardly use it, my phone feels neglected and responds to anyone, perhaps.
I hope you got the dark mode thing sorted. I reckon @EmeraldEyes was on the right track.

That’s odd that the hamburger is in the middle of your screen. It should be top right beside your user avatar (picture) with the Chat bubble and search spy glass to the left of it.
I’ve just looked at the ‘Dark Mode is back!’ post and it is a little confusing as the accompanying video is set to computer Desk Top view. Not ideal for mobile phone demonstration
