Constipation - Don't be shy

This post has been created as a help/educational on a topic that may or may not affect you…

" Constipation is where you have changes to how you poo, including not pooing as often or finding it hard to poo. It’s common and it affects people of all ages. You can usually treat it with simple changes to your diet and lifestyle."

There is one particular part of this that I wish to draw your attention to - it is not actually new, but it is something that many people probably don’t know and almost certainly many more who don’t actually do. The importance of the squat position when sitting on the toilet.

This short video shows what I am talking about right at the end - it’s less than a minute long and well worth watching. It might just change your life

There are also other exercises that you can do, but I think this stool (or other) to raise your feet is probably the best and it is how we used to do it before the toilet was invented

Oh I remember the nurse telling me that when I had problems many years ago. I still use that technique today. It does help when things are tricky.
