Just catching up on the old threads. Lots of smilers, some not so happy, reminding me of my stroke early days. To these friends I want to say it’s hell at the moment, but you will get through it. You have the support and goodwill of all of us survivors. If you have family they may not understand, but they love you too. You are still the same person, but dealing with changes you never bargained for. I have already read some of the replies giving support, tips and hints, they may not help you right now, but take them on board. They just might later on in your recovery. Not everyone who visits this forum speaks out but I’m sure they find much here that is useful, interesting, entertaining and I hope they feel a part of this our community too. Most of what is written is here for the reader without whom there would be little point in what goes on.
The writers never see all their audience so a certain amount of feedback is useful.
The community of which we are all part welcomes us as we each play out our role.
We write about our conquests, our failures, what we want to know, what we actually do know, what troubles us,what pleases us casting a shared light that lets us see more clearly where we are, where we might go and what it looks like in this world in which we find ourselves.
Once I start rambling . . .

A great message Norma. There is souch useful info on this site and we all need different bits of it at different times. It’s been a great place for me to be around since my stroke.
