Hello to the drivers on the site. About half an hour ago I received a rather worrying message. Well it would have been very worrying if I hadn’t stopped to think about it. The message told me that ‘urgent action was required’ as the payment for my vehicle tax was unable to be collected. My husband recently paid the tax, and although we’re not millionaires I knew there was money in our account to cover it. My phone was hacked a while ago, but the appropriate steps were taken to be safe. I have an address to report these scams: report@phishing.gov.uk.
I then deleted the message from my phone once I’d sent it to them. You will get an acknowledgement from that site with information on it. I do hope that you don’t receive one of the scams, and end up in a mess because of it. Please be vigilant! Best wishes Norma.

There is also a scam going round inviting people to apply for the winter living allowance.

This one has been around for a few years now. The TV licence one pops up with regularity as well. Mine tend to go into junk automatically these days.

It’s the poor trying to steal from the poor and I loathe it.
