Best UK hotel experiences

Hi All

Looking for a lovely wheelchair friendly UK hotel. Ideally with a pool (and hoist) and good food. Kent, Surrey, Sussex would be ideal. This will be our first trip away with my Dad who transfers using banana boards and a Sara Steady. All new to us so all help gratefully received! Thanks

Not sure if it would open up more options but we have a portable hoist, bought for my daughter, which has made life so much easier.
About the size of a large pushchair.

Key thing was how much it closed down to make it easier to fit in the car.

It’s a fairly high price, even more new but transformed where we could stay. Premier Inns family rooms were good as the hoist legs fitted under some of the smaller beds. That was key.

@Helpfuldaughter just popping by to say hi & welcome to the forum.

I’m afraid I can’t help with hotels but there are companies that specialise in holidays for people with disabilities. I’ve not used them so can’t offer a recommendation but msy be worth a look.

Great information, Thanks. I’ve had a quick look at Disabled Holidays and looks like a great website.
