Firstly @Al59, well done for letting it all out with this post. I hope that by doing so you feel better because sometimes that is all it takes to make us feel better.
Five years is a long time to dealing with what you are dealing with and as you have made it thus far, you should feel good about it. It’s good you are not depressed and I would suggest it is good you recognise you are fed up because this allows you to continue to fight which is what you are doing, and doing so well.
Perhaps now, you can think back of what you have achieved since you first had the stroke five years ago and write them down - share these positives with us on this forum if you would like, but otherwise, just write them down in your own private notebook / journal so that you can remind yourself of what you have achieved and how far you have come.
Sleep is an important part of stroke recovery and if you are able to a good seven hours this is fantastic and you can build on this. We have mentioned recently on this forum cat naps and power naps during the day. Maybe you can take a power nap during the day as this will be an additional aid to your health and well being ![]()
Well done and keep going ![]()
