You should be able to pick up dry shampoo from Boots. I believe you just spray it on. I have not used it but bought the pet equivalent for my bath phobic dog.

@Ismeval - the last thing I want is to cause upset.
I reply because I would like to help and I have been a carer for a long time for my Mum who is a stroke survivor and who also did not get the help she deserved. I feel I have learnt a lot from my role as carer and dealing with healthcare professionals, some good and some not so good. My Mum was also treated in a hospital which was rated rock bottom but which has subsequently improved.
I can assure you I do not judge people and I don’t believe or disbelieve - I can go by what they say and I look at the information available and respond accordingly.
In your case, it was my opinion that there may have been a misunderstanding somewhere and in order for me to offer help I did my best to suggest what I would do (or indeed have done) when faced with similar difficulties.
I do not wish to pry into your personal matters and my feedback was to say I cannot comment on information I do not have.
I appreciate my response has caused you upset and I can only apologise for that.
I note both Ann (@Mrs5K) and Rupert @Rups are on your wavelength and so I will step back from this and allow them to help you.

This is not right but seems to be the norm in some areas.
As mentioned by others here, Headway and the Brain and Spine Foundation seem to offer good information and Headway had local groups.
Ageuk helpline or the Silver Line might also be able to advise. You could ask how to get an advocate, or if ageuk will send you a befriender urgently. This might help in getting the support you should be getting anyway but are not, like many, and as mentioned below, perhaps your GP could sort out a referral for some immediate help with washing your hair. It is difficult to get practical support due to length of waiting lists .I too thought SAH is classified as a Stroke.

Thank you …. I have been told not to wash my hair for at least 6 weeks hbecause leaning forward with head down increases the pressure in brain, which is probably not good after a brain hemorrhage … then told to use a very soft touch and use a mild shampoo and just gently pat dry …. But having psoriasis in my scalp doesn’t help so will try having a gentle wash next week and try to keep a bit more upright … thanks for your reply much appreciated

Well I am deffo washing it after this weekend … psoriasis is not helping, and I am sooo tempted to shave it all off , treat my scalp, and then fingers crossed it grows again
