Love,love that song:
We don’t need no education
We don’t need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teacher, leave them kids alone
Hey, teacher, leave them kids alone
All in all, it’s just another brick in the wall
All in all, you’re just another brick in the wall
We don’t need no education
We don’t need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers, leave them kids alone
Hey, teacher, leave us kids alone
All in all, you’re just another brick in the wall
All in all, you’re just another brick in the wall
If you don’t eat yer meat, you can’t have any pudding
How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat?
You! (if you don’t eat yer meat)
Yes, you behind the bike stands (you can’t have any pudding)
(How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat?) Stand still, laddy!
You! Yes, you behind the bike stands…
Niggling I was inspired to pick this word, what with all the discussion of oggling and goggling and snorkelling. I was hoping noggling was a word. It isn’t.-- But niggling is close and means “something bothersome” --Like–“I have this niggling feeling that I didn’t lock the door when I left.”
I’m going to go for giggling then. Something we do when we find something funny. And sometimes it can turn into a ful laugh. Also, children giggle when they’ve done something they shouldn’t and think they’ve got away with it.
This made me think of ‘Americanisms! like hood instead of bonnet of a car, sulfur instead of sulphur, fosforus instead of phosphorus!.pants rather than trousers, that’s all I’ve got!
Norma-that’s interesting. My tomatoes have not done well either, and we live in southern California. Scintillating–brilliantly clever or witty. Like all of us, right?
I’m sticking to ‘T’ and making this a little more personal-
Trachiosteomy, did anyone else have one? And did your stoma close? How long did it take? Mine isn’t closing and I think I need surgical intervention.
Yuletide. I saw a newspaper report saying some stores are actually bringing in their Christmas stock. Give us a break! Sorry to end with an E again. Best wishes Norma
I love, love that you ended with E
