Rapscallion–a rascal–and, what my mother affectionately called me. It also means “trouble maker”.–which I definitely was NOT. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: P.S. Could it also be a type of onion?

Novel a book of fiction or something new / unique.

Sadly I Can’t laugh or cry anymore.possibly due to being non-verbal but don’t get the emotions either.

Yikes!–an upset Wow! --I felt it when I read Mich-mm write about not having or “gettting” emotions. I wondered about that, since, Mich-mml, you started your statement with “sadly”(sadness is an emotion)–which led me to believe you really do have feelings–but perhaps they are pushed so far down for safety. Feeling can be hard and scary sometimes., espeially when you can’t express yourself verbally. Try depicting feelings with a drawing :joy: :face_with_raised_eyebrow: :grimacing:  :upside_down_face:

This happens to some after stroke. I hope they return in time for you. I think it was Lorraine who said it was like her feelings / emotions were stuck in neutral to begin with but they did return.

It’s called Pseudobulbar affect (PBA) a neurological condition that causes outbursts of uncontrolled or inappropriate laughing or crying. These episodes don’t match your internal emotional state. PBA develops as the result of a brain injury or underlying neurological condition.so I do feel the desire to cry but my body just can’t go through the motions.I was a real cry-baby pre-stroke which is why I said sadly. Used to get a lot from a good cry.

Sorry @axnr911,didn’t mean to upset anyone❣️ 🜁 Mich

It’s okay, MIch-mm. No one’s upset. --After my stroke I had the opposite condition. I laughed and cried at the drop of a hat. Sometimes I couldn’t stop laughing. That could be a little embararssing. But, as the others have said, atypical emotional responses after stroke are quite “typical”. Over time, I returned to “normal”. Whatever that is!!

Xenophobia or fear of strangers is the fear or hatred of people who are perceived as being different from oneself . This can be based on a person’s race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or other distinguishing characteristics.

Agelast– a new word for me --doesn’t mean age after beauty. It means a person who doesn’t laugh, a mirthless person. I didn’t know there were such people. Not on this site that’s for sure.

Titivate- a great word that means **a person or thing neater or more attractive.i think it sounds onomatopoic
