My hubby has had strokes in the past according to scan results. He has so many illnesses.
2 days ago he had a very bad headache which he described as being electrocuted in his temples. I messaged GP and they said to monitor him and go to a&e if need be. He is housebound and could not physically cope with a&e for a lengthy wait.
Yesterday he felt unwell. Looked unwell.
Today he is complaining of severe muscle like pains in his legs.
Thank you. I just think that with a paramedic randomly visiting recently from gp surgery and district nurses calling, someone could have least checked him? GP ringing monday! 4 days later.
I just wondered if the symptoms were relatable to anyone? This is a person with severe spinal issues, cancer, breathing problems and dementia. Not always easy to slot where the symptoms lie.
I can’t comment on what happened in the past few days with GP, paramedics and the district nurse, but I can say that @Janetb is absolutely right. You should call 111 and they will come and visit and they will carry out all the checks they need to and if necessary, they will take your husband to A&E.
You don’t want to be asking members of this forum to try to diagnose a condition remotely when health professionals can do this for you in your own home. With the co-morbidities your husband has, I am sure they will do the right thing.
Please don’t wait, call 111 and get this addressed asap for your peace of mind and for your husband’s health.
If in doubt always ring 111 and take the advice given. If they think assistance is needed they will deliver that service. I found this to be the case. Or go upto AE.
Hi SueKay
Obviously I cannot say but would urge you to get your husband checked over if you can. There is another thread on here, “Before my Stroke” several of us describe symptoms which we believe were warnings but of course we don’t know & there is no proof - the thread may be worth a read for you though.
As others have said, if in doubt there is no doubt- get the professionals to take a look.
Please both of you take care and please if you get time let us know how things go?
Look after yourselves..
