I’ve mentioned before that i’m a 14-month-old toddler in a 50-year-old body. I’ve recently (last 4 months, learned to eat again. But i haven’t learned to speak again, sit unaided, sleep or use the toilet. It feels ironic to live my childhood again, i find myself wondering why the universe conspired to make me live my childhood again?

You are so determined though @Mich-mm that I am sure you will soon be able to sit unaided, which in turn will help with some of the rest.
Keep trying to speak even if it doesn’t make a sound or just comes out as a grunt. It is all strengthening those vocal chords / muscles and moving you towards speaking.
I bet you really enjoy all your food now after not being able to eat for a while.

Yes - I did the same analogy as you after my stroke ; my homunculus picture of my body is still quite alarming, so I am still a toddler

I crawled around my sitting room floor, then moved about on my knees and then practiced walking. I did this every day for a year before my gait started to improve. It was just like a child going through the stages of learning to walk. That was physically, mentally, however, it has taken longer to mature toddler traits in my psyche. Vision and movement are still the biggest hurdle to rehabilitate.

@jenny-wren I can write albeit unintelligibly but type on an iPad to communicate text to speech,I cannot talk or walk.i was recently in hospital due to have surgery to correct the contractures in my ankles due to inactivity but the operation was cancelled at the eleventh hour due to lack of beds in ICU for post-op recuperation.
