Visual field loss

So after my trip to the TIA clinic, it turns out that my suspicions about when it happened are right.

In 2010!!!! They were aware of the hemianiopia, did not tell me or explain anything. And did not investigate it further. So I have been living with this totally unaware with out any support or understanding of what has been happening to me.

I have even been to the Dr's twice about fatigue and no one made the connection.

No wonder I'm depressed. NHS has really let me down.

I WANT ANSWERS!!

I'm not suprised. I would also want answers.  As all this was clearly on your medical records, your GP should have it flagged up so it raises questions when you were suffering from fatigue.

Hi I too have lost a portion of my vision in my right eye all I keep getting told is just give it time bearing in mind my stroke was in july ..my sight has not fully come back I'm worried for the long term regarding my job as I drive from job to job I too went to specsavers who told me I failed field vision test so havent drove I'm waiting to see what the hospital say ..life has a funny way of working out so I'm trying to remain positive

Fingers crossed for you. Have you booked in with the DVLA for their tests?

Do notice the missing bit?

Turns out my TIA. Happened in 2010, and no one bothered to tell me. Keep me posted on the DVLA thing as I expect that is my next course of action.

Stay strong x

I questioned my Surgery on Monday,  they simply said "I dont know" taking it to the local health watch to see what they make of it all

Not a good enough answer to say they don't know. Is that the same as the Quality Care Commission people?  I'd be looking for another GP - I wouldn't trust their judgement ever again.  Sorry if this doesn't make sense ... not having a great day today!  Brain has gone to mush with all this rain!
