Hi gang
It’s UK stroke forum next week. An event that regularly sees a snowstorm of tweets saying “we need the voice of lived experience to be more prominent”
Many of those will be hashtagged #uksf24
I urge you to read X for a week.
Those of you who still have an account please contribute to those tweet-threads.
It would be great if you identified yourself as either a forum member or a Stroke Improvement Group supporter View the SIG charter
Those of you who don’t normally use X but see something that you think would be of interest to the rest of us: Click the share button on X, copy the link, come here add a post to this thread with the link pasted in and the rest of us can then go and view it too
There are often components of the discussion that are relevant to our recoveries and our experiences and assist in us giving each other support and or can benefit from our input has peer supporters
Program is here
uksf-programme-in-depth
Of a particular interest to me are
On 3rd
- collecting-and-using-newly-expanded-community ssnap dataset
- stroke-associations-research-world-cafe
- Co-design and coproduction approaches to embed lived experience in stroke rehabilitation intervention design and delivery
A topic on the 3rd that doesn’t get much air time is also
Sex and relationships: Having the conversation
On 4th there’s lots that will be very relevant to many of us
the things that are of interest In what I’m trying to do to improve stroke care are
- Life After Stroke: A co-designed digital pathway for tailored information provision and supported self-management
- Meaningful Involvement: Turning Theory into Practice
- Opportunities to use data science to improve stroke care and research
- Pump up the intensity: Innovative ways to increase stroke rehabilitation intensity in routine practice
And this stuff that will appeal to others
And on 5th
Caio
