Taking diazepam when flying 3 months after stroke

Hi there

Does anyone know if its ok to take diazapam after a stroke when flying. Only drugs I’m on are statins and clopidogrel. I had thrombectomy and only suffer from bouts of fatigue. Be good to know if anyone has been given advice on this . thanks

Hi @Tim62 just wanted to welcome you to the forum. Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with this but I’m sure those that do will be along soon to advise. :slightly_smiling_face:

In the meantime, have you tried doing a search on here? Just click on the magnifying glass :mag: above right and key in significant search words like diazepam and search through the results there.

Hi @Tim62 & welcome to the community.
I don’t have any experience of diazapam & my best advice is to consult your GP. You might also need to check with the airline you are flying with.

Hope you are getting on ok after your stroke.

Best wishes

Hi @Tim62 ,

Welcome to the community.
I can’t offer you any advice based on personal experience, but suggest that your local pharmacist or GP may be able to help.

Also, I make it a hard and fast rule to ALWAYS read the leaflet that comes with any medication I take as this has some very useful and important advice on Dos and Don’ts relating to the specific medicine.

Have a lovely holiday and looking forward to receiving your postcard

Welcome, hope you are jetting off somewhere nice.
I may be reading between the lines but am assuming this is diazepam you have used before your stroke?
It would be prudent to ask your GP and/or pharmacist. Hope you have declared your stroke on your holiday insurance too. Not declaring any medical problem invalidates your whole policy with a lot of companies
