Spoke with neurology

Hello, I have now had my phone appointment with the neurologist and after answering many diagnostic questions put to me by a very nice doctor, he said I am definitely not having seizures of any kind! He also said that therefore he must assume that the original diagnosis of clopidogrel resistant TIA 's was the correct one. He said that he saw no reason why I couldn’t return to driving. I am to have a follow up appointment with the Tia clinic sometime around April. It made me realise that perhaps my description of my symptoms must be a little confusing to the doctors to refer me to neurology! I hope that the new medication I am on will keep me from having any more episodes.

That’s good news re the seizures. I bet that is a relief for you. Hopefully you’ll get your driving licence back soon & be back motoring before you know it.

I wonder if they can give you an alternative to clopidogrel.

Thank you, I have already started driving as I didn’t have to hand my licence in , but was advised by the clinic not to drive until I had been seen by neurology, also or 90 days for a crescendo Tia , which has now passed. The new medication I am on is tricogrelor which is another stronger antiplatlet medication. Hopefully that will work.
