Has anyone had adverse effects to the Shingles vaccination?
I’m a bit below the age threshold for a shingles vaccination so I don’t have personal experience, but I’ve seen what effect shingles had on family members and know that it’s really not a lot of fun. In some cases it can be extremely serious. There is a risk of mild side effects, but when I’m offered a jab I will enthusiastically accept it.
No adverse reactions but I had the shingles jab several years ago and still caught shingles! Hopefully the new jab is more effective than the old one

I had the shingles jab a couple of years ago - but still got shingles a few months ago. It (shingles) was not a pleasant experience and the scars on my back are still present after 4 months!
DON’T BE PUT OFF FROM HAVING THE JAB, IS MY ADVICE!

I had the first (of a course of two) vaccinations last October. I got shingles 10 days later, took Aciclovir, and then got shingles again a couple of weeks later. Needless to say, I have decided against the second vaccination!
