You’re right I too looked hard in the jungle for the squirrel expecting it to be in the trees.
I see number 30 i think.
You’re right I too looked hard in the jungle for the squirrel expecting it to be in the trees.
I see number 30 i think.
Jeanne and Ann have seen the number 30 and I am not sure how many others have viewed this picture since it was posted, but that means 9 of the viewers who were the first 11 to view should not have seen it, whether or not this is an intelligence test or a vision test. Btw, Jeanne, I have to agree it has to be more of a vision thing, I mean what has intelligence got to do with seeing a hidden number in a picture that has been designed to trick the mind.
And what about colour blindness? What if you are colour blind and can’t tell your oranges from your lemons? Are you going to miss out on being the 2 in 11 (and why 11, should it not be 10 - a much nicer, rounder number?).
Also, what if you think you see something, but it’s actually something totally different. Ann says she sees the number 30 and then she says I think. So why would see think she see’s it if she doesn’t see it?
When we are seeing are we thinking? Do you have to think about what you see or do you just see it and tell your brain I see an apple tree. Looking up I see the apple tree gently swaying in the breeze, a lovely cool breeze as it happens and more so under the shade of the apple tree. So now I am not only seeing, but thinking and then wait, I feel the breeze and I smell the smell which right now I can’t describe, but it is not as pleasant as I would like - more like something rotting ![]()
Having seen, smelled and felt (though not touched) I might as well talk about the hearing. I can hear birds chirping and that leaves me with the taste. Maybe I can just say the bad smell has left a bad taste in my mouth.
What a strange ramble from what started out to be a simple observation game.
Strange how the mind works or maybe what the mind does when you let it go free ![]()
Enjoy the sun. Oh, now is it the sun that has struck me?
That was just for you Jeanne as I know I have been a little negligent in my duties to keep you intertained ![]()
Yes, Ann and ManjiB–I saw 30 too. I guess, if you’re color-blind you’re up the creek without a paddle on this test.
ManjiB I wish I could see, hear, feel smell and taste all the things you do when looking at the above picture. What a world that must be to live in!!
I’d be gobsmacked!!! Really though–very creative! Thanks for the entertainment!!!
Can you find the human face in this picture?
I’ve found it. Had to enlarge the picture but now i’ve seen it I can’t unsee it ![]()
If I see it, am I seeing it, or am I imagining it?
I see trees, I see houses/buildings and yes, I see also a face.
The face is that of a man, but he seems to have had his nose squashed or something.
He is looking out at me and his facial expression is quite hard to describe. Is he happy, is he sad?
Perhaps he is wondering what a very tiny old woman is doing on his face - there is a tiny woman with a dark coat and hat and a light/white dress from times of old.
And then there is a fish - as sure as eggs is eggs, there is a fish. Maybe my eyes deceive me and perhaps the fish is a lizard of some sort.
So now you see, I started out looking for a human face (man or woman?) and found
I wonder what else might be lurking in this picture.
Ann, you’re right: once you see it, you can’t unsee it!
ManjiB, the man has definitely been punched in the face once too many times. But I have looked and looked and can’t see a fish–must have swum up the man’s nose when I wasn’t looking. ![]()
Here’s a rebus puzzle for a change of pace. What does this picture say?
Hmmmmmm ![]()

Mary plus Mary = a double Mary. Not sure that’s a saying at all. It just reminds of the drink Bloody Mary .
Then I got thinking 2 hail Mary’s as penance for confessing their sins. But there is no representation of hail so guess it isn’t that either.
So having a proper look at it the Mary’s are written as an addition, a sum which you total up.
Sum of Mary Mary ? Total Mary. Mary twice. Twicemary. ![]()

Ahhhhhhh now I have written it like Sum of Mary. I see SUMMARY?
Stumped otherwise.

I waited to give anyone else a chance to guess, but you are right, Ann. It is “summary.” You are a smart cookie.

I think I went about it the hard way ![]()
Oooo does this refer to us stroke survivors ![]()
One step forwards, 2 steps backwards ![]()
Yes. Good one! It does refer to stroke survivors and is “one step forwards, 2 steps backwards”. Here’s one that I couldn’t get until I looked at the answer. See if you can guess it.
I am thinking it is something to do with eating pie as I know the last symbol is pi. And i think 2 cubed is 8.
So i am going to say I ate all the pie.
How greedy I was ![]()
That’s close enough for me.
Actually, the Sigma sign (S) stands in math for “Sum”–
Hence the sentence is I ate “some” pie, and it was delicious.
I think i was being greedy & wanted all the pie not just some of it ![]()

Well done Ann!
I couldn’t remember the square roots of negative numbers or imaginary numbers from my school days. This was an area of mathematics that I might not have grasped very well.
So it seems square root of -1 (minus one) is i (the letter “i”) - woah, still don’t get it!!
I think this “i” only applies to -1 but not sure why.
But the square root of other numbers is +/- (plus or minus) and so the square root of 4 is +/- 2
and the square root of 9 is +/- 3 etc. I could be wrong, but it has been a while since I had to learn this for my mathsmatics exams.
Thanks for taking me back to my school days Jeanne ![]()
I didn’t know that about the square root of minus 1. Doesn’t make sense to me. I just knew pi and 2 cubed and then guessed the rest ![]()
I had to ask my husband, who is a very mathy guy. He said that the square root of -1 does not exist, that it is what mathematicians call “an imaginary number” ( which he says mathematicians use to do complex things in mathematics) And the letter to express an imaginary number is the letter “I”-- Hence, I ate some pie…and it was delicious. ![]()
I think I know that this is and it gives me the opportunity to share links to a couple of songs that haven’t been heard for some time. Do enjoy ![]()
