@Mrs5K , I can’t see that sort of pole dancing happening inside old peoples homes anytime soon. Can’t see the NHS subsidizing it. Ho-hum.

I find this rather dark.
The guy has been impaled and so likely dead?
I think I’ve got a good sense of humour, but this is too dark or too clever for me to appreciate.
I guess I must be missing the subtle bit that makes it funny.
I’ve looked at it quite a bit and don’t get it.
I guess it’s one of those that goes over my head and “if it needs explaining, it isn’t as funny?”

Ann - don’t worry. I’m not upset, I just don’t see anything funny about that cartoon.
This happens sometimes because comedy and humour are often interpreted differently and sometimes they need to be taken in context.
For example, I think in one of the Monty Python things, there is a knight who keeps losing his limbs and there’s lots of blood spurting out and I think they keep doing that until he’s lost all his limbs or something. I think it’s Eric Idle or Graham Chapman who is the night and that is so very silly and yet I found it funny. I guess this might be because of the build up or scene setting that prepares you for it, whereas this cartoon is “cold” - it’s out of the blue on it’s own and so for me personally, I just can’t see the funny side of it. I am sure there is and I am sure there are many who find it funny.
As I said, for me “if it needs explaining, it isn’t funny” and for me this does need explaining and hence why I didn’t and still don’t see the funny side of it. I do get lost with some of the comedies, I guess it might be because I grew up watching slap stick 
Please don’t worry as I am not at all upset by it.
