@Joan1 Hi & welcome to the community. Sorry you’ve had cause to join us but hopefully you’ll find it a useful place to be.

Good to hear your aneurysms weren’t the culprits for your bleed. I think a lot of us ask the why question. But I guess we could also ask why not. Sometimes people do seem to get one thing after another. Lets hope you’ve now had your share of troubles.

You’re very early on yet so fatigue coukd ve a big issue. Plenty of rest is needed to give your brain chance to start repairing. You’ll no doubt have lots of questions. You can ask away on here if you want to. There’s usually someone who can advise.

Sending you best wishes

Ann

Hi @Joan1

Welcome to the community, I’m sorry to hear about your stroke.

As you’ve mentioned tiredness and feeling down, I just wanted to share a couple of resources with you which may help. The first is a webpage about fatigue, this gives you some more information about fatigue and some helpful tips on managing it. You can find that here. The other one is a webpage on emotional effects after stroke which you can find here.

I hope these help and I’m sure more people will be along to offer their advice on what has helped them soon.

Anna

Hi thank you both for your answers……yes I remember thinking… this tiredness I’ve had before after both my aneurysm operations…it’s a different type …I call it brain tiredness…I will now have a good look at this site…thank you for accepting me. X

I had lots of weird sensations in my head for months after my stroke & I still get them intermittently now 3 years on. They could be normal & fatigue related but if you are at all concerned you should speak to your GP.

The niggles and aches? Pretty normal after something like this.

Hi @Joan1 good to hear you are doing well. Never feel guilty for doing well. Sharing how well you’re doing on here gives others hope & inspiration. We all have different recovery paths but all equally valid.

The tiredness will improve in time. Enjoy the rest in the meantime.
