I have felt fairly normal today apart from the tingling sensations, however, around tea time tonight I was in the kitchen helping prepare our meal when I became aware of a loss of sensation in my stomach onThe left side, not numb, but almost, just a reduced sense of feeling, it was from the middle of my stomach almost to my left kidney area, it only lasted a minute or two then disappeared, is this normal, anyone else experience a thing like it?
Ps, please forgive my paranoia as I am new to all this stroke experience.
I don’t know what’s going on but I would try some honey. It has a long list of benefits.
Good luck, Roland
It might be an idea to take a trip to A&E to be on the safe side, is not speak with your doctor. It could be something and nothing, it could be another TIA (mini stroke), it could be leading up to a full blown stroke. You only had your mini stroke 9th Sept, so you are still very much at risk.
Personally, I would rather be given the peace of mind from A&E at this stage than from my GP or even here.
Feeling of anxiety are normal
Haven’t used the analogy for a long time… but… post stroke is like buying a £100 car - no manual, no familiarity with it’s rattles, squeeks, idiosyncrasies and no metric to determine if they are trivial or significant
You’ll get used to it
Safest if everything takes you to A &E - not so practical though - you’ll have to decide.
You very likely have lots of random things happening for a long time. I still have them on a daily basis at nearly 4yrs
Very few take me to a&E anymore
Did you read the welcome post?

Yes, thank you for your reply, I suppose the mind can be the body’s biggest enemy.
As I said being very new to all this , everything can be blown out of proportion by the imagination.
@Injebreck99 if you are worried you should get checked out. There are many weird & wonderful sensations that appear after a stroke & often they aren’t anything to worry about but some could be. 111 is always an option if you don’t fancy a trip to A& E.
I do think ww have a heightened sense of awareness too after our stroke & imagine every twinge is going to be a stroke. That does settle in time.
Best wishes
Ann
Yes, get yourself outdoors and listen to the birds ; better still get some sun !!
I do tend to overthink things sometimes, I am a glass half full person atm, which isn’t like me.
